SUMMARY:NEET youths profile in The Azores: What do we know so far? (In Portuguese)
DESCRIPTION:This webinar aims at synthesizing the current knowledge about NEETs in The Azores Islands. To do so\, the session will start by an analysis of the evolution of NEETs in Europe\, Portugal and The Azores\, for the past 10 years. Afterwards\, three studies that were undertaken in Region will be summarized. These studies will focus on NEETs profile\, lower qualified NEETs professional expectations and also on their perceptions about dominant sectors in rural areas\, namely agriculture. The webinar will involve about 10 professionals and intermediate leaders of The Azores Islands employment public services that work directly with NEETs\, in the context of the Youth Guarantee program. The session will be held in Portuguese and will include a brief presentation\, group discussions and a Q&A session. The expected duration for the webinar is 60 minutes. \n Sign up for this session

DESCRIPTION:I would like to inform you that according to our survey the webinar on the WG 1 on national reports will take place on the 29th of April\, 3.00 PM. The session will take around 90 minutes and you can access the chat room in ZOOM. You will receive the link and the password to the session in your email box after you fill in a written consent survey to authorize the session to be recorded\, to be stored in our website intranet. To authorize it\, please follow this link:https://forms.gle/UbCdFCWMUiAjZ6bJ6For those of you that have not used ZOOM before\, we will provide a quick tour before the webinar starts.Ahead of the meeting\, participants are recommended to go through the WG1 – deliverable 1 methodological guide and Annexes to this document (except for Annex 3) sent by the WG1 leader\, Alena Minns\, earlier this month. Some adjustments need to be made to the timeline that was sent as Annex 5\, but we will go through that as well.During the session\, we will discuss the different sections of the national report and we will also include several Q&A moments\, so that you can bring forward all your questions.

SUMMARY:Kick off meeting
DESCRIPTION:Rural NEETs’ Youth Network (RNYN) is a running four-year COST Action that kicked-off on the 14th of October of 2019. The network aims at developing a model of comprehension for rural youths not in education\, nor in employment or training (NEET). This model is supposed to unfold social exclusion risk and protective factors associated to this group. According to the EUROSTAT\, NEETs are more prevalent in rural regions\, compared urban and suburban areas\, especially in Southern and Eastern European countries. Thus\, this situation represents a threat\, but also an opportunity for rural development.
