I am a lecturer/assistant professor at the University of Sussex, UK. I completed a PhD in Psychology at the University of Porto, Portugal. I have been interested in understanding how and in which conditions excluded and marginalised groups and communities engage in sustained participation and collective action. I have experience in interdisciplinary and mixed-methods research in the field of community engagement, participation of young people and migrants, social movements, mutual aid and solidarity, political engagement with climate change, and environmental/climate activism.
